iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus Set to Launch in India: Price, Best Offers, and Everything Else You Should Know
The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have officially been released in India by Apple and Jio at an event in Mumbai, which Apple CEO Tim Cook joined via video link. The new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will go on sale at 6pm IST on Friday in the country, and will be up for purchase via both online and offline channels. There are several deals available to buyers that will lower the iPhone 8 price in India by a significant margin if you have a phone to exchange and use select credit or debit cards. If you are indeed planning to buy iPhone 8 in India, here's what you need to know, including price, offers, where to buy the handset, etc.

iPhone 8 price in India

Shortly after the iPhone 8 unveiling, Apple announced that the 64GB and 256GB variants of the handset will cost Rs. 64,000 and Rs. 77,000, respectively. Similarly, the iPhone 8 Plus 64GB is priced at Rs. 73,000, while the 256GB variant will cost you Rs. 86,000. Both the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus go on sale in India at 6pm IST on Friday. iPhone 8 offers by Flipkart, Amazon, Jio

Amazon India, Jio.com and Flipkart have announced cashbacks, exchange discounts and buyback guarantees for the new iPhone models.
First up, iPhone 8 offers on Amazon India comprise of exchange discounts of up to Rs. 16,500 on iPhone 8 and 8 Plus 64GB variants. The versions of both phones with 256GB storage will get a maximum of Rs. 12,100 on exchanging an old phone. There are no cost EMIs by major banks as well.
Flipkart offers on iPhone 8 models include exchange discount of up to Rs. 23,000 on the 64GB and 256GB storage options for both phones. There’s a Rs. 10,000 cashback on Citi Credit and World Debit Cards on top of the exchange discount (not for corporate cards though); the cashback will be credited on or before December 30, 2017. This will bring down the effective price of the base 64GB iPhone 8 model to Rs. 54,000, while the 256GB model will drop to Rs. 67,000. Similarly, the effective prices of the 64GB and 256GB iPhone 8 Plus will become Rs. 63,000 and Rs. 76,000, respectively. Be sure to check the seller's name while making the pre-order as the offer is applicable only on transactions made via Shreyash Retail Pvt. Ltd. (SuperCom Net) on the Flipkart platform.
Jio will be selling the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus via the Jio.com website, Jio Stores, and Reliance Digital outlets; pre-bookings can be made via the company for Rs. 1,999 and cannot be cancelled. The Citibank Rs. 10,000 cashback offer is applicable on purchases made via Jio as well. The company will also launch an exclusive tariff plan for the two Apple smartphones. The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus buyers can opt for the upcoming Rs. 799 plan that provides 90GB of data (3GB per day), free SMSes, subscription to Jio apps, and free calls. The validity of the plan is 28 days for prepaid users, and one billing cycle for postpaid users.
Apart from the cashback, consumers who purchase the new iPhone 8 models from Reliance Digital, Jio.com, Jio Store, and MyJio app will also get 70 percent cashback if they return the handset after a year. You need to install the MyJio app on the phone to claim the offer, and use a Jio SIM card for a year before you hand it over at a Reliance Digital store. The buyback guarantee will entitle you to 70 percent of the value of the iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus you buy, minus the taxes applied.
So if you buy the iPhone 8 Plus 256GB for its full price of Rs. 86,000, the buyback will be calculated at Rs. 75,680 - Rs. 10,320 will not be considered for the cashback because of 12 percent GST. So you will get back Rs. 52,976 in the form of vouchers that can be used to upgrade to the next iPhone or purchase goods at the Reliance Digital; the voucher should be used within 6 months or it will expire.

On the heels of a number of other Google leaks that Droid Life published this afternoon, we now have a clear look at the forthcoming Pixel 2 . The follow-up to last year’s Google Pixel (the smaller of the two Google phones), which is being announced on October 4th, will come in three colors: kinda blue, just black, and clearly white. Droid Life says to expect roughly the same kind of pricing structure as last year’s Pixel. That means a 64GB option for $649, and a 128GB option for $749 — $200 less than the reported Pixel 2 XL pricing. Like last year’s Pixels, the Pixel 2 will be made by HTC (which Google is reportedly considering buying ). The Pixel 2 XL, however, is reportedly being manufactured by LG.
